Before I was blessed to stay home and raise my sons, I was a high school English teacher. Those teaching years instilled in me my commitment to find better educational opportunities for my own children. While I loved some of each of the different methods and situations we experienced as a family, (Christian, Montessori, Catholic/Jesuit, and public) nothing compares to what Caritas offers. I truly believe that we are equipping the new generation for such a time as this… our country’s citizens need to get back to our
founding based on God’s truth and the virtues that are instilled through lessons and daily application in every subject at Caritas. Children properly informed and formed create moral and educated people who, like our founding generation, can once again bring the Gospel into all areas of the community in order to really change the world for good.
I was able to work and volunteer throughout my years at home and have invaluable experience in building and running non-profits, marketing, advertising and event planning. I never really intended to get back into the teaching field given our busy lives. However, when an opportunity to teach at Caritas became available, I was excited and compelled in my spirit to do it. It is a joy to be here.
In my “free” time I listen to political podcasts driving to and from the boys’ activities. If I actually have time to myself, you will find me on long walks, hikes or reading whatever is interesting to me at the moment. In fact, there are various books throughout my home strategically placed to grab when I have a few moments to spare. I love history and love to travel and will happily join my husband on the tennis court when it isn’t a thousand degrees outside.
